Pressure Injury Prevention: Identification, Assessment and Prevention of Pressure Injuries

In this course, developed together with Sharon Baronoski, you will learn:

  • What pressure injuries are
  • What impact this type of injury can have for the patient and the society
  • How a pressure injury develops.
  • Classification system of pressure injuries
  • Patients at risk of developing pressure injuries and the risk assessment tools available
  • How the patient's skin should be examined and assessed
  • Techniques for preventing pressure injuries. 

Lastly, the final assessment where your knowledge about pressure injury prevention will be tested.

To pass this course you will need a minimum score of 70% to receive a certificate endorsed by EWMA.
