This one-day event explores the blurred boundaries between childhood and adulthood in paediatric bladder and bowel care. With a focus on shared decision-making, we will examine the balance between parental involvement and the growing autonomy of young people, including the role of Gillick competence. Through case-based discussion and expert insight, participants will gain practical strategies to engage teenagers in their own care, support families through this transition, and deliver developmentally appropriate, patient-centred services.
